Hood lock cable — removal and installation

Open the hood and secure it in the open position.

Remove the hood latch cable clamp from the front body panel.

Disconnect the end of the cable from the latch spring under the front body panel.

Disconnect the cable from the lock lever located in the driver's footwell. If necessary, remove the lever from its holder.

Pull the cable assembly through the rubber grommet on the baffle in the engine compartment.

Release the cable from all clamps and remove it from the engine compartment.

Installation is in the reverse order of removal, but make sure that the cable is correctly installed and check the mechanism in operation.
