Power steering electric pump — removal and installation

1. Remove the subframe (see above).

2. Disconnect the tubes from the electric pump

3. Mark the route and remove the electric pump wiring from the subframe, disconnect the wire connectors (the wires from the pump are not disconnected).

4. Turn away nuts and remove the pump together with an arm and a tank (see photo). It should be noted that on models up to 2000, the pump wiring connector is 2-pin, at present, a pump with a 3-pin connector and an adapter is supplied as spare parts.





5. Turn away nuts and remove the pump from an arm. Check the condition of the pump mounting rubber bushings, replace if necessary.

6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Clean the tank filter. When filling the tank, please note that the level indicator in the tank in the TRW system is built into the plug, in the Delphi system the indicator is mounted on the bottom of the tank. Bleed the air from the power steering circuit (see below).
