Types and causes of tire tread wear

1. Lateral tread wear

Causes:

• Insufficient tire pressure
• Violation of the camber of the front wheels
• Cornering at high speed

Check tire pressure and restore to normal, repair or replace suspension parts, drive at a moderate speed.

2. Tire center wear

Causes:

• Increased tire pressure

Check tire pressure and restore to normal.

3. Uneven wear

Causes:

• Violation of convergence of wheels (in this case, the tread wear acquires an angularity, which is determined by touch), camber and angle of inclination of the axis of rotation.

Repair or replace suspension parts and adjust wheel alignment.

• Violation of the collapse and longitudinal inclination of the axis of rotation.

Repair or replace suspension parts.

• Wheel imbalance.

Balance the wheels.
