Diesel engine fuel filter

Every time the engine oil is changed, the water that has accumulated in the fuel filter must be removed.

Diesel X17 DTL

Place a container under the fuel filter. Loosen the fastening screws with a special Torx T30 screwdriver. Loosen the screw at the bottom of the filter approximately one turn and drain the water.

Diesel X20 DTL

Place a container under the fuel filter. Loosen the fastening screws with a special screwdriver Togh T30. Loosen the screw at the bottom of the filter approximately one turn and drain the water.



After fuel flows, tighten both screws on the filter.

Do not empty the filter, otherwise the procedure for bleeding from the fuel system should only be carried out at an Opel car service.

When driving in difficult conditions (high humidity, hot or too cold weather, large temperature difference between day and night) Reduce fuel filter service intervals.
