Engines 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 liters
1. Raise the front of the car and put it on stands, remove the right wheel and the protective fender panel.
2. Remove the drive belt (Chapter 1).
3. Fix the crankshaft from turning and unscrew the bolt. To fix the crankshaft, engage a higher gear and have an assistant depress the brake pedal. On models with automatic transmission, unscrew one of the drive plate mounting bolts and secure the drive plate to the crankcase with a bar and 2 bolts. If the bolt loosens on the removed engine, then fix the flywheel with a device for the ring gear.
4. Remove the washer and pulley, being careful not to damage the crank angle sensor.
5. Install in reverse order (see photo). Pulley bolt tighten in 2 steps (see technical data).
Engine 2.0L
6. Set the piston of the 1st cylinder to the TDC of the compression stroke.
7. Further, the procedure for removing the pulley is no different from that discussed above for engines of 1.4-1.8 liters (the pulley on the 2.0L engine is attached with several bolts).
