Removal and installation of an electric motor of a drive of cleaners of a windshield

Astra models

1. Remove wiper arms (see Section 9).

2. Remove the fairing grille (see chapter 11).

3. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery (see chapter 5).

4. Turn out 3 fixing bolts (see resist. illustration), disconnect the electric motor wiring connector and remove the wiper drive assembly from the engine compartment.



5. Pry with a screwdriver and separate the drive rods from the motor pivot.

6. Mark the mounting position of the electric motor hinge on the assembly panel with a marker. Loosen the nut and remove the hinge from the motor.

7. Turn out 3 fixing bolts and remove the electric motor from the assembly panel.

8. Installation is made in an order, the return to an order of removal. Check that the motor drive is in the correct position, if necessary, connect the motor to the connector (connect the battery) and set the required position. Upon completion of work, check the adjustment of the windshield wiper levers (see Section 9).

Models Zafira

9. Remove wiper arms (see Section 9).

10. Remove the fairing grille (see chapter 11).

11. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery (see chapter 5).


12. Remove the cover of the rear bulkhead of the engine compartment (see chapter 11).

13. Turn out 3 fixing bolts (see resist. illustration), disconnect the electric motor wiring connector and remove the wiper drive assembly from the engine compartment.



14. Using a screwdriver, separate the drive rods from the hinge (see resist. illustration) electric motor. Turn the hinge so that you have access to the motor mounting bolts. Turn out 4 bolts and separate the motor from a drive.



15. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
