Replacing the front door lock

You will need: TORX T30 wrench, flat blade screwdriver.



1. Raise the glass to its highest position and remove the front door trim (see Removal and installation of an upholstery of a forward door).



2. Peel off the waterproof film from the inner door panel.



3. Through the hole in the inner panel of the door, unscrew the front screw securing the lock casing.




4. Turn out the screw of back fastening of a casing of the lock …



5.... and remove the casing from the door cavity.



6. Unfasten the lock of the outer handle rod holder..



7.... and disconnect the rod from the door lock lever.




8. Turn out three screws of fastening of the lock to a back end face of a door.



9. Use a screwdriver to pry off the edge of the lock rod seal..



10.... remove the seal from the hole in the door panel and remove from the rod.



11. Remove the lock from the technological hole in the inner panel of the door.




12. Having pressed the latch..



13.... disconnect the block of the wiring harness for the electric lock of the front door lock from the lock and remove the lock.



14. Install the front door lock and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
