Removal and installation of fender liner

In the arches of the front and rear wheels, plastic fenders are installed that protect the body from the abrasive effects of sand and stones thrown by the wheels.

You will need: flat blade screwdriver, TORX T2 wrenches and «on 10».

Notes:

• The work is shown for the fender liner on the left side of the car. The right fender liner is removed and installed in the same way.
• Before removing the fender liner, first remove the corresponding wheel.
• The front wheel arch liners consist of two parts each, which can be removed separately.

For removal front wheel liner perform the following operations.

1. Remove the wheel from the side of the fender liner to be replaced (see Wheel replacement).



2. Prying with a screwdriver, pull out the latch of the rear piston for fastening the front part of the fender liner..



3.... and remove the piston together with the retainer from the hole.




4. Similarly, remove the two front rivets securing the front part of the fender liner..



5.... and two upper pistons for fastening both parts of the fender liner.



6. Bending down the front edge of the front part of the fender liner, separate its parts by depressing the three latches..




7.... and remove the front part of the front fender liner.



8. Remove in the same way as for the front of the fender liner, the lower..



9.... upper rear..



10.... and the front caps for attaching the rear.




11. Drown with a screwdriver the latch of the lower rear piston for fastening the rear part of the fender liner..



12.... remove the piston..



13.... and remove the back.

14. Install the front wheel liner in the reverse order of removal.

For removal rear wheel liner perform the following operations.


1. Remove the wheel from the side of the fender liner to be replaced (see Wheel replacement).



2. Loosen the three plastic screws on the rear fender liner…

Note. This is how the rear fender liner screws are located.

3.... and remove the screws.



4. Prying with a screwdriver, pull out the latch of the rear lower piston of the fender liner..



5.... and remove the piston together with the retainer from the hole.



6. Similarly, remove the front lower..



7.... and the front upper caps for fastening the fender liner.



8. Loosen the two plastic nuts on the upper mounting of the rear wheel liner..

Note. This is how the nuts of the upper fastening of the rear wheel liner are located.

9.... unscrew the nuts..



10.... and remove the fender liner.

11. Install the rear wheel liner in the reverse order of removal.
