Electronic control unit for additional passive safety system

You will need: socket wrench «on 10», flat blade screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.



2. Remove the left front part of the floor tunnel lining (see Removal and installation of floor tunnel lining).



3. Pull down the air nozzle towards the driver's feet..



4.... and, having shifted from the air duct..




5.... remove the nozzle.

Note. The air supply nozzle must be removed because it blocks access to the wiring harness blocks of the electronic control unit of the additional passive safety system.

6. Slide back the latch of the front block of the wiring harness of the electronic control unit of the additional passive safety system..




7.... move the latch back until it stops..



8.... and disconnect the block from the block.



9. Slide forward the latch lock of the rear block of the wiring harness of the block..



10.... move the latch forward until it stops..




11.... and disconnect the block from the block.



12. Turn away three nuts of fastening of the electronic control unit of additional system of passive safety to the basis of a body …



13.... and remove the block.



14. Establish the block of management of additional system of passive safety and all other details upside-down. There is no arrow on the label of the passive restraint system control unit showing the direction of its installation, because due to the asymmetric shape, the unit can only be installed in one position.
