Note. If the bearing of one of the hubs fails, we recommend replacing both front wheel hubs at the same time.
You will need: key «at 18», end head «at 32».
1. Raise and place the front of the vehicle on stands. Remove the wheel.
2. Loosen the hub nut.
Note. The hub nut is tightened to a very high torque. To unscrew, fix the hub with a mounting spatula (or small crowbar), resting it on the wheel nuts screwed onto the studs, as shown in the photo for item 2.
3. Completely unscrew the hub nut and remove it.
4. Remove the front wheel brake caliper assembly (see Front wheel brake caliper replacement), without disconnecting the brake hose, and secure it with wire without twisting or pulling the hose.
5. Remove the brake disc (see Replacing the brake disc of the front wheel brake mechanism).
6. Turn out three bolts of fastening of a nave …
7.... and remove the hub and mudguard.
If it is difficult to remove the hub from the shank of the outer hinge, carefully, without damaging the threads, knock it out of the hub with a hammer through a drift or a wooden block of a suitable size.
Inspect and replace the dust shield if damaged.
8. Install the removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
9. Check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment. Use the services of workshops with special equipment.
