Note. Refuel your vehicle with unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 95.
You will need: canister with gasoline, a special funnel for the fuel tank neck, which has a narrowing that excludes refueling with leaded gasoline.
Note. Dispenser nozzle tips for leaded gasoline (old-style columns with pointers) were larger in diameter. Therefore, to prevent accidental refueling with such gasoline, the diameter of the filler neck is made smaller than the diameter of the nozzle tips of these dispensers, therefore, the funnel tip must also be of small diameter.
Attention! Do not smoke or use open flames while refueling.
Helpful Hints: If the gas station where you expected to refuel the car has just drained the fuel from the fuel truck, it is better to look for another dispenser or return here in a few hours. The fact is that not all dispensers are equipped with good cleaning filters and it takes time for all the dirt in gasoline to settle to the bottom of the gas station tank. Refuel your car at trusted gas stations. The power and durability of the engine directly depend on the quality of gasoline. Wipe off gasoline spilled on body parts immediately with a clean cloth. When refueling, do not use plastic cans or containers as there is a risk of sparks due to static electricity.
1. The fuel cap is located on the right rear fender under the flap.
2. To open the fuel tank filler hatch cover, lightly push the left edge of the cover with your hand and release sharply…
3.... the hatch cover will open slightly.
Note. The fuel tank filler hatch can only be opened when the door locks are unlocked.
4. Fully open the fuel tank door.
5. Turn the fuel tank cap counterclockwise..
6.... and remove it.
Attention! Since fuel vapors can create increased pressure inside the tank, unscrew the filler cap slowly. This will equalize the pressure inside the tank with atmospheric pressure. If you see steam coming out from under the cork or hear a hissing sound, then stop unscrewing the cork and wait until these sounds stop. Otherwise, fuel may splash out of the tank.
7. Attach the stopper to the holder on the inside of the lid.
8. Insert the fuel dispenser gun into the fuel filler neck and refuel the vehicle. If you are refueling the car from a canister, then before refueling, insert a funnel into the fuel tank neck and fill in gasoline from the canister.
9. After filling, turn the cap clockwise until it clicks into place. The plug is equipped with a torque limiter, so after a click it will turn.
10. Close the lid and remove gasoline spills with a rag.
