Dismantling the pump is quite laborious, therefore, in the event of a malfunction, we recommend replacing the pump assembly.
You will need: TORX T30, T45 keys, TORX E10 socket head, sliding pliers or pliers.
1. Drain the liquid from the cooling system (see Coolant replacement).
2. Remove the accessory drive belt (see Accessory drive belt replacement).
3. Loosen the tee hose clamp by squeezing its bent ears with pliers, slide the clamp along the hose..
4.... and disconnect the hose from the water pump nozzle.
5. Turn out two bolts of fastening of a water distribution pipe to the water pump.
Note. The manifold has been removed for clarity.
Attention! The flange of the water distribution pipe is sealed with a rubber ring. Replace this ring each time the joint is disassembled.
6. Turn out three bolts of fastening of a pulley of the water pump …
Note. For clarity, shown on the removed engine.
7.... and remove the pulley.
8. Turn out five bolts of fastening of the water pump …
9.... and remove the pump.
Attention! The pump housing flange is sealed with a rubber gasket. Replace this gasket with a new one each time the connection is disassembled.
10. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
11. Fill with coolant (see Coolant replacement).
