Removal and installation of facing of doors

Cars from 09.1998 of release can be equipped with a side airbag built into the sides of the backrests of the driver's and front passenger's seats. Seats with side airbags are marked with white patches with red lettering «AIRBAG». The airbag sensor is located on each side behind the door trim. On vehicles equipped with side airbags, follow the safety rules when working with the elements of the side airbags and emergency belt tensioners.

Removing the front door trim (all models)

1. Carefully remove the trim on the inside door handle. Detach the handle (arrows). Disconnect the tweeter connector (1).

2. Squeeze out the switch of an electric regulator of an external mirror from within a door of the driver, disconnect its socket and remove the switch.

3. Turn out bolts of fastening of a pocket of a door and wring out two clamps by a wide screw-driver At the corresponding complete set disconnect a socket of electroconducting of the switch of an electric window regulator and remove a pocket of a door.

4. On the model Combo Press the retainers of the triangular trim on the exterior mirror away from the door frame at the top of the door.

5. At the corresponding complete set remove the handle of movement of glass of a forward door. To do this, press the wire clamp with the OPEL-KM-317-A tool. HAZET-799 pliers can also be used. If the above tools are not available, pry out the clamp with a narrow screwdriver in the direction of the arrow.

6. Remove the handle from its axis. If the spring was completely pressed out during removal, press the spring back into the groove of the handle. Remove the plastic washer.


7. Remove the front door glass inner seal with a plastic spatula.

8. On models Corsa and Combo remove the bolts (arrows).

9. On the model Tigra remove the three bolts from the bottom edge of the door. Using a plastic spatula, detach the lining from the door at the rear and front, while opening the clips.

10. Remove facing up through the button of blocking of a door.


11. If necessary, carefully remove the sealing film from the door frame. Pre-squeeze the latches (arrows).

Removal of facing of a back door (Corsa models)

1. Disconnect the lining of the inner door handle (3), remove the fixing screws and remove the rear door handle (1).

2. Remove the rear door window shift handle (2).

3. Remove a triangular overlay in a back part of a door.

4. Turn out bolts of fastening (arrows) and lift up the cover.

5. Remove upwards internal consolidation of glass of a back door.

Installation

1. Gently stick the sealing film to the door frame. Seal the gaps with tape.

On vehicles with a side airbag, replace the damaged film. It is essential for the correct deployment of the side airbag.

2. Connect the wiring connectors of the exterior mirror control and power window switches (with appropriate equipment).

3. Put on the upholstery through the power button, put it on the door frame and secure.

4. Fix the door pocket with screws.

5. Fasten the door handle. Connect the tweeter connector.

6. When manually operating the door glass, put a plastic washer on the handle shaft with the high side in the direction of the lining.

7. Put the handle for moving the glass of the door onto the axis and slam it with your hand. In this case, the spring lock must enter the groove on the axis. The handle should be facing down when the window is closed.

8. Press the inner glass seal.

9. Attach triangular trim and door handles.
