The wheel bearing on the Opel Combo is located in a separate wheel hub, while on other models it is located directly in the brake drum. In addition, the wheel bearings and brake drum on the Combo are more robust.
Removing
1. Jack up the rear of the vehicle and place it on jack stands.
2. Remove the brake drum (see chapter Brake system).
3. On the model Combo Remove the bearing boot with a wide screwdriver. Take out cotter pin of a nut of a pin of a wheel and give a nut. Remove the hub with pressure plate from the pin.

4. Remove the O-ring from the hub with a screwdriver, being careful not to damage the hub.

5. Remove the inner tapered roller bearing.
6. Carefully knock out the bearing inner race with a brass drift. To avoid distortion of the cage in the hub, install the drift alternately at opposite points of the ring.

7. Using a brass drift, carefully knock out the bearing outer race in the same way. Opel service stations use a special tool for this.

8. Clean the wheel hub with a clean rag soaked in alcohol.
Installation
1. Be sure to replace the bearing as a set (inner and outer races and rolling elements), despite the fact that only one of the clips may appear worn.
2. Check the axle shaft for damage and wear, if necessary, contact a service station to replace it.
3. Install the bearing races as far as they will go. If there is no special tool for this, press the ring using a piece of suitable pipe.

4. Fill the bearing with lithium grease and install it on the axle shaft.
5. Install the inner bearing.
6. Lubricate the new O-ring between the sealing lips and press it into place with a piece of pipe of the appropriate diameter. On the model Combo do the same with the hub.
O-ring installation
7. Lubricate the outer tapered bearing and insert it into the hub.
8. Install the hub or brake drum on the axle shaft and install the outer bearing. When doing this, make sure that dirt does not get into the bearing.
9. On the Combo model, install the pressure washer and screw on the wheel hub nut.
Before installing the hub cap, bend both ends of the locking pin

10. Install the brake drum (see chapter Engines).
11. Install the wheel so that the marks made during removal match. Lower the vehicle to the ground and tighten the wheel bolts crosswise with force 110 Nm.
12. Adjust the clearance in the wheel bearing.
