Corsa B and Tigra models
Based on the design of the suspension, only one shock absorber should be removed first, and then the other.
Removing
1. Remove a cover in facing of salon and give a nut of a protective casing of a dome of the shock-absorber.

2. Give the top nut of fastening of the shock-absorber, holding its rod a wrench from turning.
3. Remove the spring cup and rubber damper.
4. Jack up the rear of the vehicle and place it on jack stands.
The upper rubber stop can be replaced without removing the entire shock absorber. To do this, release the support and lightly jack up the car.
5. Give the bottom nut of fastening of the shock-absorber.

6. Remove shock absorber.
Installation
1. Check shock absorber (see Section Dismantling, checking and assembling the shock absorber).
2. Put on a new shock absorber a protective casing and the plug.

They are not included with the new shock absorber.
3. Insert the shock absorber from below into the dome.
4. Install the shock absorber from below into the holder on the rear axle console. Use a plastic mallet if necessary.
5. Align the holes in the shock absorber eye and in the holder. Using a plastic mallet, carefully drive in the shock absorber mounting bolt until it stops. Torque the bolt 70 Nm.
6. Slowly lower the car while inserting the shock absorber into the dome.
7. From the luggage compartment, install the rubber buffer and cup on the shock absorber and tighten the nut with force 20 Nm, holding the shock absorber rod from turning with a wrench.
8. Put on the protective cover of the shock absorber dome.
9. Insert the cover into the interior lining.
Combo model
1. Jack up the rear of the vehicle and place it on jack stands.
2. Using a jack, unload the rear shock absorber.
3. Turn out the bottom bolt of fastening of the shock-absorber and take out the shock-absorber from the holder.

4. Turn away the top bolt of fastening of the shock-absorber and remove the shock-absorber.

5. Install the shock absorber and tighten both mounting bolts with force 70 Nm.
6. Remove the jack and lower the vehicle.
