Removal of air from the hydraulic path of the power steering

Air from the power steering hydraulic path should be removed after opening the path.

The power steering pump must not run dry.

1. With the engine stopped, remove the reservoir cap.

2. Fill the tank to the bottom mark (2) The specified mark corresponds to a liquid temperature of 20 degrees.

3. Start the engine and let it idle. Turn the steering wheel two times at an angle of 45 degrees in both directions and then two times from lock to lock.

4. Check the fluid level and, if necessary, add fluid to the lower mark on the dipstick in the reservoir cap. When the engine is warm, the fluid level may reach the upper mark on the dipstick.

5. If necessary, correct the power steering fluid level by adding fresh fluid specified in the Specifications in small portions.

6. Close the reservoir lid.
