Proper headlight adjustment is essential for road safety. Fine adjustment of the headlights is possible only with the use of a special device. In the following, only the position of the headlight adjustment elements will be described in order to carry out the correct adjustment.
1. Check tire inflation pressure and correct if necessary.
2. Load the car with 70 kg (one man) in the center of the rear seat.
3. Fill up the fuel tank.
4. Park the vehicle on level ground.
5. Press the front of the car several times to bring the front suspension into its working position.
6. Set the headlight range control on the instrument panel to position «0».
7. Headlights are adjusted when low beam is on. The slope of the light beam for conventional headlights is 1.2%, i.e. 12 cm by 10 m length. The border of light and shadow to the left of the adjustment point marked with a cross must run horizontally along the adjustment line.
