Camshaft gears
1. Remove the timing belt (see Section Removal and installation of a head of cylinders), then, to prevent the risk of component damage from piston-to-valve contact, move the engine off TDC by turning the crankshaft 60°counterclockwise.
2. Acting as described in Section Removal and installation of timing gears, remove the gear from the camshaft that needs service. If necessary, repeat the procedure and remove the second shaft gear.
The exhaust shaft sprocket can be identified by the lugs to fit the CMP sensor.
3. Before reinstalling the timing belt, do not forget to return the engine to the TDC position.

Intermediate rollers
Removing
1. Remove the timing belt (see Section Removing and installing timing belt (engines 1.4 and 1.6 l)).
2. Turn out fixing bolts and remove rollers from the engine.
Installation
1. Install the rollers, screw in and tighten the bolts of their fastening with the required force.
2. Install the timing belt (see Section Removing and installing timing belt (engines 1.4 and 1.6 l)).
