Note: On models with drum brakes, all shoes must be evenly attached to the brake drums.

3. Depress the brake pedal 3-4 times to select the parking brake play.
4. Support the front wheels with wheel chocks, jack up and place the rear of the vehicle on stands.
5. Raise the lever 3 clicks, then tighten the adjusting nut until the rear wheels start to stick - it should still be possible to turn them by hand. Both rear wheels must turn with the same resistance, otherwise check the free movement of the drive cables in their shells.
6. Release the lever - both wheels should begin to rotate freely. Otherwise, repeat the adjustment.
7. Lower the vehicle onto its wheels and cock the parking brake lever 7 clicks. The parking brake is set correctly when the rear wheels are locked and securely holding the vehicle from moving.
8. Attach the parking brake lever boot to the center console.
9. Slightly cock the parking brake lever and drive approximately 300 m at low speed to allow the brake linings to wear in.
