Bonnet — opening and closing

The hood latch release lever is located on the left under the instrument panel (see illustrations 4.1 and 15.1). When pulling the lever, the hood should open slightly, then return the handle to its original position.



For the final release of the hood, go around the car in front and press the release lever of the additional lock, located approximately a palm's width to the right (looking at the car from the front) hood center (see illustration 4.2). After releasing the latch, raise the hood, after making sure that the wiper arms are not retracted from the glass. A hinged stop is fixed on the mudguard of the right wing for fixing the hood in the open position. When closing the hood, it fits along the front panel (see illustration 4.3) and fixed in the holder.






Before closing the hood, make sure that no tools, rags or other foreign objects have been left in the engine compartment.

To close, gently lower the hood down, leaving a gap of about 20 cm, then release it. To check that the hood is securely locked in the closed position, pull up on the front edge of the hood.

Note: In order to avoid damage to the paintwork, you should not press the loosely closed hood with your hands - it will be correct to open it again and try again to close it with release from a small height.
