Attention: Ashtrays should only be used to collect ash, do not put flammable objects in them!
Ashtray and cigarette lighter for driver and front passenger mounted in front of center console (see illustrations 15.1). The ashtray is covered with a decorative cover. Flip the cover over the point of resistance - access to the ashtray will open. Closing the ashtray is done by lightly pressing the decorative cover and lowering it to its original position.
When the lid is opened, the ashtray tray rises slightly from the seat. To remove the cleaning tray, pull it up (see illustration 17.26). A cigarette lighter is mounted in the center console next to the ashtray (see illustration 15.1). The cigarette lighter can be activated with the ignition on, for which just push the button of the cigarette lighter in the socket until it stops - after the heating element has finished heating, the button will automatically pop up to its original position.

Attention: Never hold the cigarette lighter button in the pressed position by force!
If the cigarette lighter button after pressing does not pop up for a long time, the car should be driven to a service station to eliminate the existing malfunction. After use, do not forget to return the button to the socket (to avoid contamination of the). The cigarette lighter socket can be used to connect additional power consumers designed for a voltage of 12 V and a power consumption of not more than 120 W.
When equipped, the ashtray for the rear passengers is integrated into the rear of the center console. Note: On some models, a glove box is installed instead of the rear ashtray. To use the ashtray, you need to open its decorative cover. To clean the ashtray, hold the open lid (see illustration 17.27), remove the ashtray from the seat.
