Anti-theft alarm
The anti-theft alarm device controls all doors against burglary or unauthorized entry (including tailgate), hood, as well as the internal volume of the cabin, the tilt of the car and the ignition.
An unauthorized attempt to open the hood, trunk lid, entering the car interior through any of the doors with the anti-theft system activated, as well as an attempt to move the car or move inside the cabin, activates an audible signal, accompanied by flashing direction indicators / headlights / parking lights. The sound signal will turn off automatically after about 30 seconds, and the light signal - after about 5 minutes.
Note: The duration of signal activation is subject to local regulations and may differ from the above.
The anti-theft alarm is activated again, no later than 10 seconds after the car is locked, by pressing the lock button on the remote control / by turning the key in the driver's door lock cylinder (see Section 3).
Activation of the device is confirmed by the operation of an LED built into the alarm switch button on the console section of the instrument panel (see illustration 8.3) - it lights up for about 10 seconds and then goes into flashing mode. If the doors or the hood are not closed tightly, or the anti-theft alarm system is faulty, when the device is activated, the LED starts flashing at a high frequency - it is necessary to check the tightness of the doors / hood, and in case of a system malfunction, contact the specialists.
8.3. Alarm switch button - LED indicated by arrow
The anti-theft alarm device is deactivated automatically when the doors are unlocked with the remote control or with the key.
When triggered, the alarm can be forcibly returned to standby mode before the expiration of the set period by pressing the lock button on the remote control. When the unlock button is pressed, the anti-theft system will also be deactivated along with disabling the alarm.
If necessary (for example, if animals must remain in the cabin) the anti-theft alarm can be activated without the function of interior control and vehicle tilt. To do this, before leaving the car, it is necessary to press the switch button with the ignition off (see illustration 8.4) on the overhead console - the LED on the hazard warning switch button flashes. Within 10 seconds from the moment the LED is activated, you must get out of the car and close all doors, and then activate the alarm in the normal way.

Double locking system
Attention: When the double locking system is activated, it is not possible to unlock the doors from the inside - never activate the system if there are passengers in the car!
Double locking is activated by repeated, no later than 10 seconds after locking the car, by pressing the lock button on the remote control / by turning the key in the driver's door lock cylinder (see Section 3). The lock is released automatically when the doors are unlocked with the remote control or with the key.
Immobilizer
Attention: Attempts to make any changes to the design of the immobilizer are associated with the risk of disrupting the normal functioning of it, as well as other on-board electronic systems of the car!
The immobilizer is one of the most effective means of protecting a car from theft. On properly equipped vehicles, starting the engine is only possible using an individual key equipped with a special microchip. An attempt to start with a non-standard key leads to blocking the fuel supply to the engine.
The device is activated automatically when the mechanical key is removed from the ignition switch. To disable the immobilizer, simply insert the appropriate authorized key into the ignition lock and turn it to the «II» (see Section 17).
When the ignition is switched on, the indicator in the service indication display field should light up briefly and go out after a few seconds (see Section 16). If the indicator is activated in flashing mode, the key is not recognized by the system as authorized. Remove the key from the ignition and try again. In the event of another failure, try to turn on the ignition with a spare key and contact an Opel workshop for help.
