Electronic brake control (EBSM) and pressure modulating valve in the brake circuits are serviced separately.
The brake pressure modulator valve uses 4 circuit configurations to adjust hydraulic pressure independently for each wheel.
The car can also be equipped with the following systems:
- Anti-lock braking system (ABS).
- Traction control (traction control).
- Stability control system.
- Automatic pressure control in the brake circuits.
- Hill start assist system.
- Brake boost system for emergency braking.
- Braking system when cornering.
- Trailer stabilization system.
To ensure the operability of these systems, the following components are used:
- Electronic brake control (EBSM) - manages brake systems and detects faults. It energizes the solenoid valves and the pump motor.
- Pressure modulating valve in the brake circuits, consisting of: a hydraulic pump with a motor, four isolation valves, four pressure relief valves, two supply and two isolation valves for controlling the traction control and stability control system, a pressure sensor, a high pressure damper and a low pressure accumulator.
- Hydraulic pump with electric motor.
- Four isolated circuits.
- Four damping valves.
- Two check valves for the supply of anti-slip and directional stability systems.
- Two isolating valves for the supply of anti-slip and directional stability systems.
- Pressure meter.
- High pressure suppressor.
- Low pressure accumulator.
- Multi-axis acceleration sensor - yaw, longitudinal and lateral acceleration sensors are combined into one multi-axis acceleration sensor connected to the electronic unit. The electronic brake control unit, based on the received signals, activates the stability control or hill start assist systems.
- Steering wheel angle sensor - the electronic brake control unit, based on the signals received from the steering wheel angle sensor, calculates the required amount of angular acceleration.
- Traction control switch - Traction control and stability control can be manually turned off or on by pressing this switch.
- Wheel Speed Sensors - The ECM sends 12 volts to each wheel speed sensor. As the wheels rotate, the speed sensors generate square wave signals, from which the electronic control unit calculates the wheel speed.
