Removing
1. Cover the generator to prevent power steering fluid from getting on it.
2. Place a drip pan under the vehicle.
3. Remove as much working fluid as possible from the expansion tank.
4. Remove the engine air intake filter.
5. Raise and secure the car.
6. Remove the front right fender liner.
7. Remove the drive belt only from the power steering pump pulley (see section «Attachment Drive Belt Replacement» for the corresponding engine).
8. Loosen clamp (1) and disconnect the outlet hose (2) expansion tank from the power steering pump (6).
9. Mark the position of the inlet hose (4) hydraulic booster relative to the pump.
10. Unscrew the hollow bolt (3) hydraulic inlet hose.
11. Disconnect the power steering inlet hose from the pump and remove the connector seals.
Note. Do not reuse seals.
12. Through the holes in the pulley, unscrew the bolts (5) power steering pump mounts.
13. Remove the power steering pump from the vehicle.
14. If necessary, rearrange the pulley from the old to the new power steering pump.
Installation
1. Cut and bend the metal plate of the booster inlet hose along the cut line (1).
2. Install the power steering pump (6) on the car.
3. Install three bolts (5) power steering pump and tighten to 21 Nm.
4. Install two new sealing washers on the power steering inlet hose.
5. Aligning the alignment marks, connect the hydraulic booster inlet hose to the pump.
6. Install hollow bolt (3) hydraulic booster inlet hose and tighten to 37.5 Nm.
7. Connect the outlet hose (2) expansion tank to the power steering pump. Fix the hose with a clamp (1).
8. Install the drive belt on the power steering pump pulley (see section «Attachment Drive Belt Replacement» for the corresponding engine).
9. Install the right front fender liner.
10. Lower the car.
11. Install the intake air filter.
12. Fill the working fluid into the hydraulic booster reservoir and bleed the system.
13. To take the pallet for collecting of a liquid from under the car.
14. Remove cover from generator.
