The task of the cooling system is to maintain the operating temperature of the engine in all operating modes and operating conditions. The cooling system removes about a third of the heat generated during the combustion of the air-fuel mixture. While the engine is cold, no coolant enters the radiator until the thermostat opens. This allows the engine to warm up faster. The diagram of the cooling system is shown in the illustration.
