Firmly depress the brake pedal with the engine off at least 5 times, then without releasing the pedal, start the engine. The pedal should feel like it's going down.
Otherwise, pull out the brake booster vacuum hose. Start the engine. Check with your finger, a vacuum is created.
If the vacuum is not created, check the hose, replace if necessary, tighten all clamps.
If a vacuum is created, measure the pressure, otherwise replace the brake booster (performed in the workshop).
Caution: Always replace the non-return valve of the vacuum line when doing this, as gasoline vapor penetrating through a defective check valve can damage the brake booster membrane.
