Starter flap clearance checks and adjustment

The damper is adjusted after a bulkhead or removal of the upper part of the carburetor, and also if the engine does not obey the gas pedal well.

Adjustment

Pull out the start flap control on the instrument panel as far as it will go.

Warm up the engine to an oil temperature of +60°C.



The start lever must be in contact with the stop.

Remove air filter.



Measure the gap with a drill bit. Data see No. 4.49.



Adjustment with a screw (arrow) on the vacuum regulator. After adjustment, insure the screw with varnish.
