Attention: To carry out this work, it is not necessary to remove the cylinder head, although a special holder KM-257 and a valve spring compressor KM-261 will be required. Otherwise, remove the cylinder head.
Removing
Remove the air filter with heating hose, See No. 4.44.
Remove the cylinder head cover.
Unscrew the spark plugs of the respective cylinders.
Rotate the crankshaft to set the pistons of the same cylinder to TDC. This will keep both valves closed. Both valves of the corresponding cylinder must have a noticeable gap between the rocker arm and the end of the valve stem.
Screw in a special valve holder tool KM-257 instead of a spark plug.
Bring the locking pin that enters the combustion chamber to the valve disc by turning the wing nut, see figure.
Lock the wing nut.
Unscrew rocker nut.
To give crackers of a rocker arm and a pusher of the valve.
Install a special tool - the KM-261 valve spring compressor on the rocker pin.
Screw on the M8 nut with washer and tighten it until the valve spring is so compressed that the cotters are released.
Remove valve cotters.
Release the spring.
Remove the compressor.
Remove spring.
Installation
The new valve spring must be installed in reverse order using a compressor.
Install the valve lifter, rocker arm and crackers.
Screw on the rocker nut.
Unscrew the valve holder.
Install spark plug and tighten to 40 Nm.
Make a basic valve clearance adjustment on a cold engine, see paragraph 1.18.
Install and screw on the cylinder head cover.
Install the air filter with heating hose.
