Float valve check

Removing

Disconnect the earth cable from the battery.

Remove air filter.

Remove the carburetor cover.

Remove the float from the cover.

Examination

The valve, when air is blown into it by the mouth from above, should not let air through if you lightly press the small working pin of the float with your finger. The pin should be slightly movable.

Installation

Install float with new seal (see datasheet). Do not overtighten The seal must be centered on the float needle.

Install the carburetor cover with a new seal.

Install the air filter, connect the ground cable to the battery.
