Clutch adjustment

There is no backlash in the KADETT D clutch. With increasing wear on the clutch lining, the pedal moves up, See fig. A8493.

Remove lock plate (arrow) from a rope.



Measure the distance from the center of the pedal to the top of the steering wheel with a tape measure.

Attention: Do not press the pedal while doing this. Write down the size -A-.

Press the clutch pedal all the way down and again measure the distance to the steering wheel. Write down the size -B-.

The difference between -A- and -B- must be 138 mm. If this value is not reached, it should be installed with nuts on the threaded end of the cable.

Fix the cable with a locking plate.

Attention: After adjustment, the clutch pedal should be slightly higher than the brake pedal. Setting at one height is not correct and must be changed as can lead to difficulty shifting gears.
