Replacing the release bearing and clutch release lever

Removing

Remove clutch.



Unscrew the fork and remove the release bearing.

Pull the release lever upwards. Remove the fork and unscrew the guide sleeve of the release bearing.



Use a screwdriver to remove the dirty O-ring from the release bearing guide.

Installation

Attention: Before installing the clutch disc, check the cleanliness of the O-ring in the release bearing guide. Dirty to replace always.

Press a new O-ring into the release bearing guide using KM-445 (gearbox F10) or KM-518 (gearbox F16) or other suitable tool.



Fill the sealing part of the ring with protective grease OPEL-ET-1948814/90001804.

Fasten the release bearing guide to the clutch housing with a force of 5 Nm, after placing a new dry rubber ring in the clutch housing.

Lightly grease the sliding surface of the guide with Moly-paste OPEL-ET-1948524/90001825.

Check clutch release bearing. Worn out replace.

Fit bearing with fork and release lever and secure with 35 Nm.

Install clutch.
