Removing
Raise the rear of the car and place on stands.
Raise the suspension arm with a hydraulic jack with a support made according to the dimensions specified in subsection «Removal and installation of a beam of a back suspension bracket».
Loosen the shock absorber lower mounting nut. Pressing the mounting blade on the suspension arm, remove the shock absorber from the beam seat.
Lower the hydraulic jack and remove the suspension spring and buffer.
Installation
Insert a buffer into the spring.
Pull the suspension arm down and install the spring in place.
Raise the suspension arm with a jack and replace the shock absorber.
Cars with a body «station wagon»
Removing
Raise the rear of the car and place on stands. Using a garage jack with support, raise the suspension arm.
Unscrew the nut securing the shock absorber to the suspension arm, remove the support cups and bushings from the shock absorber rod.
Lower the jack and, acting in the same way, disconnect the shock absorber from the beam on the other side of the car.
Lower the hydraulic jack a little and remove the suspension spring from the platform on the lever along with the buffer on the other side of the car.
Lower the jack a little more and remove the other suspension spring along with the buffer.
Installation
Install the suspension spring together with the buffer on the lever, under which the jack is placed.
Raise the jack a little and replace the suspension spring with buffer on the other side of the car. Put cups and bushings on the shock absorber rod. Put the shock absorber in place. Screw the nut onto the shock absorber rod and tighten it so that the size «A» (see picture) between the ends of the shock absorber rod and the nut was 8 mm.
Lower the jack and, proceeding in the same way, install another rear shock absorber.
