To adjust the height of the body floor on vehicles with rear suspension with pneumatic shock absorbers that provide adjustment of the position of the body floor depending on the vehicle load, perform the following operations:
- install the equipped car on a flat horizontal platform;
- screw the hose of the manual tire inflation pump to the fitting located on the right side of the trunk, and use the pump to bring the air pressure in the air shock absorbers to 0.8 km / cm;
- measure the distance between the road surface and the middle of the rear bumper;
- load the car without exceeding the permissible gross weight;
- pump air into the pneumatic shock absorbers so that the distance between the road surface and the middle of the rear bumper becomes equal to the value obtained when measuring on an equipped vehicle. At the same time, it is forbidden to raise the air pressure in the pneumatic shock absorbers above 5 kg / cm2.
With a full load of the car, the air pressure in the pneumatic shock absorbers must be at least 3 kg / cm2.
When reducing the weight of the load in the car, it is necessary to relieve the air pressure in the pneumatic shock absorbers to a value that ensures the normal height of the body floor, but not lower than 0.8 kg / cm2.
