2. On models equipped with a catalytic converter, unscrew the mounting bolts under the car and remove the large and small heat shields of the catalytic converter from the bottom of the car.
3. Apply the handbrake, then loosen the slider coupling nut on the front of the driveshaft one turn (photo).
4. Use a socket or end socket to remove the bolts that secure the front flexible coupling disc to the transmission output flange (photo).
5. On the back of the driveshaft, unscrew the bolts that secure the rear connecting disc to the differential flange (photo).
6. Support the center of the driveshaft on the axle stand, then unbolt the bearing support center hanger from the bottom, noting the location of the shims.
7. Push front end back along slider connection slots away from transmission output flange.
8. Get the cardan shaft forward, the front part should remain on the grooves of the slider connection.
9. Unscrew the center hanger of the holder from the center bearing. noting the location of the alignment shims.
10. Unscrew the front and rear connecting discs from the cardan shaft. Note that on some models the vibration damper is attached to the front of the driveshaft.
11. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
