1. Apply the handbrake. Jack up the front of the car, secure it on axle stands.
2. Using a steel ruler, measure the distance from the locknut to the end of the cable threads (photo).
3. Loosen and remove the locknut and adjustment nut (photo).
4. Remove the end of the cable from the release lever, remove the inner and outer cables from the hole in the clutch housing (photo).
5. From inside the vehicle behind the panel, disconnect the inner cable from the curved top of the clutch pedal.
6. Where necessary, unscrew the clamp from the steering gear.
7. Remove the clutch cable from the bulkhead, remove it from the engine compartment (photo).
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, make sure that the cable is correctly located in the clutch pedal, baffle and clutch housing. Initially adjust the cable in the position noted in point 2, but finally check the pedal adjustment as described in Chapter 2.
