Inspection
Inspect the brake linings for wear and measure their thickness with a ruler. If any of the brake pads require replacement, all four brake pads on both wheels must be replaced along with the noise pads.
Removing
1. Knock out the upper mounting pin of the anti-noise springs.
2. Remove the anti-noise spring.
3. Drive out the bottom pin.
4. Using pliers or a special tool, spread the brake pads a little to the sides.
5. Remove the brake pads.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Examination
1. Lower the pistons into the caliper.
2. Check that the notches on the pistons are turned down at approximately 23°from the horizontal.
3. Lubricate the back of the pads with high temperature grease.
4. Reinstall the mounting pins.
