Removing
1. Apply the handbrake, then jack up the front of the vehicle and place it on axle stands. Remove the front wheels.
2. Loosen the nuts and separate the lower ends of the tie rods from the anti-roll bar (see chapter 7). Block the ball ends of the rods by installing a wrench on the two chamfers provided.
3. See Chapter 10 and remove the underframe.
4. Working in the engine compartment, unscrew the bolts of the stabilizer mounting clips and remove the clips (see illustration).
5. Remove the stabilizer from under the car.
Installation
6. Inspect the rubber pads for damage and signs of wear. If necessary, remove them from the stabilizer with a screwdriver. Coat the new rubber pads with silicone spray and install them on the stabilizer with the cuts towards the rear of the car.
7. Place stabilizer in working position and install clips. Fasten the bolts.
8. Connect the tie rods to the ends of the stabilizer. Screw on new fixing nuts and tighten them with a tightening torque regulated specifications.
9. Tighten the bolts of the stabilizer mounting clips with a tightening torque regulated specifications.
10. Install the front wheels and lower the vehicle to the ground.
