Removing
1. Remove the front wheel hub (see chapter 9).
2. Unscrew bolts of a protective casing of a brake disk from a rotary fist.
3. Loosen the tie rod ball joint nut (see chapter 24). Using a special puller, remove the hinge pin from the steering knuckle.
4. Remove the wheel speed sensor and disconnect its wiring (see related section).
5. Mark the steering knuckle and strut with alignment marks to restore camber during installation. Loosen and discard the bolts and separate the strut from the knuckle. Note that the bolt heads are facing forward.
6. Loosen and remove the pinch bolt, then remove the pivot from the lower arm (see illustrations).
Installation
7. Install in reverse order using new bolts and nuts. Tighten the fasteners with a tightening torque specified specifications, and, if necessary, have your dealer check the wheel alignment.
