Removing
1. Block the front wheels, then jack up the rear of the vehicle and place it on axle stands.
2. Remove the nut securing the torque arm to the diagonal arm (see illustration). Separate the stem from the arm using a ball joint puller.
3. Unfasten the torque arm from the rear cross member (see illustration) and remove it from the car.
4. If the torque rod needs to be disassembled, measure its length so that the rear wheel alignment can be corrected during reassembly.
Installation
5. Install the torque rod in the reverse order of removal, using new nuts/bolts where necessary (see specs). Tighten all fasteners with the specified tightening torque. Finally, have your Opel dealer check the rear wheel alignment.
