Vehicles with 2.5L engine
Removing
1. Remove the cover that covers the engine control unit next to the battery.
2. Press the latches holding the relay with a screwdriver and remove it (see illustration).
3. Check the 80A fuse near the plug and replace if defective (see illustration). Determine the causes that led to the blown fuse and eliminate them.
4. Disconnect the wire from the relay (+). The purpose of the plugs is indicated on the cover of the relay box (see arrow in illustration 3.0).
5. Connect the battery and check for power by connecting the tester to terminal 15 and «weight» (-) and turning on the ignition. The tester LED should light up, otherwise check the ignition switch power wire.
If the LED lights up, check the integrity of the glow plug wires. If the wires are OK, then replace the relay.
