Luggage compartment mat
1. The mat in the rear of the luggage compartment is secured with Velcro strips. Detach the strips and remove the mat; when reinstalling, just click on them again.
2. The cover on the rear surface of the rear seatback, which becomes the luggage compartment floor when the seat is folded, is secured with plastic tabs. With some care, these plastic tabs can be released from the latches so they are not damaged and can be used again when the cover is reinstalled.
Side and top trim
3. Refer to Figure 11.41 and locate the trim panels.
4. In each case, the panels are secured with screws and/or plastic clips. Be careful not to break the plastic clips when removing them.
5. If it is necessary to remove the body trim panel, you will need to remove the rear carpet first, then the upper and small rear panels and the rear door support pillar (see Section 24) from the side you intend to work with.
6. When removing the rear small panel, also remove the rear seat belt upper anchor (if installed).
7. Reinstallation is carried out in reverse order. Replace broken retaining clips if necessary.
