Backdoor (Estate) — removal and installation

1. Open the rear door and remove the ten screws that secure the bottom and sides of the interior panel.

2. Carefully remove the interior panel by releasing the latches located on the top of the panel.

3. Disconnect the speaker wires (if they are installed), and remove the interior panel from the vehicle.

4. Disconnect the electrical wiring plugs from the electrical devices installed on the rear door, as well as the rear window washer hose from the nozzle. Remove the electrical wiring and hose from the rear door.

5. Have a helper support the weight of the rear door. Disconnect the support struts from the rear door by releasing them from the ball-shaped fasteners.

6. While still supporting the weight of the tailgate, press the hinge pin stoppers and pull the pins out. Remove the rear door.

7. Reinstall by performing the above steps in reverse order.
