2. Remove the screw from the funnel-shaped recess and remove the brake disc from the hub.
3. Now you need to remove the hub from the holder using one or more methods. Either use a press or extractor, or screw two road wheel bolts into the hub flange and, using progressively thicker shims, tighten the bolts to remove the hub (photo).

4. Unscrew and remove the brake disc shield.
5. Remove the two bearing snap rings (photo).

6. Using a press or bearing extractor, remove the bearing from the short axle holder,
7. Before installing a new bearing, insert the snap ring (A) into the short axle holder. Make sure it sits well in its groove and that the ends point down (when the machine has a rack installed) (Pic. 10.3).

8. Replace the bearing by applying force to the outer race so that it touches the snap ring (photo).

9. Install the remaining bearing snap ring.
10. Install the brake disc shield.
11. Push in or pull in (long bolt and spacers) hub into the short axle holder. The inner race of the bearing must be supported during this operation.
12. Reinstall the suspension strut.
