Malfunctions of the diesel injection device

Before looking for a malfunction using the table, you need to make sure that the engine starting equipment is correct, there is fuel in the tank, the engine must be mechanically sound, the battery is charged, and the starter is in working order.

Attention! Before removing the fuel lines, they must be cleaned.

Malfunction	Cause	Actions
The engine does not start. Doesn't start well.	The engine is not warmed up.	Check the preheating device.
	No voltage supplied to the electromagnetic switch	Turn on the ignition, the signal diodes should flash. Otherwise, check the integrity of the wiring and eliminate the fault.
	Loose or defective	Check the fastening of the switch. Turn the ignition on and off for several races - the switch should work. At the same time, clicks are heard.
	The fuel supply system is faulty.	Check fuel supply,
	A) Fuel lines are cracked, dirty, clogged	Clean
	b) The fuel filter is clogged.	Replace
	V) Ventilation does not work. Fuel is dirty	Clean the tank filter
	Fuel supply is misregulated.	Check and adjust valve timing.
	Faulty injectors	Check the injectors, unscrew the union nuts in order and check whether the cylinders are working.
	Injection pump faulty	Install new
High fuel consumption	The air filter is dirty. Leaks in the fuel supply system	Replace. Check the tightness and condition of the fuel injection and return lines, the fuel filter and the injection pump.
	The fuel return line to the tank is clogged.	Blow air through the fuel return line from the injection pump.
The engine does not develop full power	The injection pump does not supply enough fuel	Adjust the gas pedal travel/ The gas pedal travel is too small. Adjust
	The engine does not reach maximum speed.	Check and adjust speed limits
	The air filter is dirty.	Clean, replace
	The fuel filter is clogged.	Replace
	Air in the fuel supply system	Release the air.
	Fuel lines are faulty.	Check the fuel lines: intake, return feed, injection, tank ventilation. Fuel lines are dirty. Packed with ice or wax (only in winter). Injection pipes are pinched at joints (at least 2 mm diameter should be) or bent. The injection pipes are not connected in the order in which the cylinders fire. The tank filter is clogged.
