You can check it with the engine installed and with the engine removed. To check, you need a dial-type micrometer with a screw-in adapter.
Remove the clutch cover.
Rotate the crankshaft until the TDC marking is located at a distance of about 5 cm from the pointer.
Unscrew the central screw of the injection pump cover.
Do not remove the cold start accelerator rod.
The toothed belt tension should be normal.
Instead of the central screw, screw in a micrometer with an adapter 0PEL-KM-226 and a copper sealing ring. Do not pinch too hard. Set the micrometer to 0. Fig. B4712.
Rotate the crankshaft further until the marking on the flywheel aligns with the pointer. The micrometer should show 1.0±0.05 mm of piston stroke.
If the value is not reached, adjust. To do this, remove the toothed belt guard.
Unscrew the three screws on the pump drive wheel.
Adjust the pump stroke. To do this, slightly turn the wheel hub using the KM-541 tool or a spanner by the central screw.
Lightly tighten the screws.
Check the adjustment again. To do this, turn the crankshaft back 90°.
After adjustment, tighten the wheel screws.
Screw in the central screw of the pump.
Attention! Always replace the O-ring. Tightening force 15 Nm. In case of leaks, tighten no more than 25 Nm.
Install the toothed belt guard.
Install the clutch cover.
