2. Remove the oil pan.
3. Turn away bolts and remove a reception pipe of the oil pump in the lower part of the block of cylinders (illustrations).
4. Remove the filter element.
5. Locate the oil pressure gauge sensor and disconnect its plug connection.
6. Remove the segment key from the crankshaft with pliers.
7. Remove the oil pump from the cylinder block by removing the bolts. The place of fastening of the pump is shown in fig. The gasket is located between the oil pumps and the cylinder block. If necessary, check the oil pump according to the instructions in the next subsection or replace with a new one. The stuffing box can be installed both before and after the installation of the pump. The mating surfaces of the pump and cylinder block must be thoroughly cleaned.
8. Install a new gasket on the cylinder block (lubricate it with a small amount of grease to secure it) install the pump. Take care not to damage the oil seal in any way if it is already installed. Tighten the bolts to 6 Nm. Lubricate the mating surface between the oil pump and the cylinder block, adjacent to the oil pan, with sealant.
9. Bolt the oil receiver pipe to the oil pump and cylinder block. The pump has a torque of 8 Nm, the cylinder block has a torque of 6 Nm. Bolts screwed into the pump, lubricate "Loctite".
10. Connect the plug connection of the oil pressure gauge sensor.
11. Install a new filter element in the pump (tightening torque 15 Nm).
12. Install the oil pan.
13. Reinstall rear toothed belt guard and toothed belt. Adjust the belt tension as described in the appropriate section.
14. Fill the engine with the required amount of engine oil. Use engine oil recommended by Opel.
After installing the oil pump, before starting the engine, carry out the work described above.
15. Tension the toothed belt.
16. Check the timing mechanism adjustment.
