Removal
On the left side
1. Unscrew the expansion tank mounting bolt.
2. Remove the expansion tank to gain access to the nut securing the shock absorber rod to the body (Fig. 6.5).

On the left or right side of the car
3. Remove the wheel.
4. Disconnect the wire from the wheel speed sensor (on vehicles equipped with ABS) (Fig. 6.6).

5. Unscrew the nut securing the shock absorber rod to the body, remove the support washer, unscrew the nuts securing the shock absorber strut bolts to the steering knuckle, and the nut securing the pin of the upper ball joint of the anti-roll bar (Fig. 6.7).

6. Disconnect the strut from the stabilizer bar.
7. Remove the bolts securing the shock absorber strut to the steering knuckle (using a wooden hammer), remove the shock absorber strut assembly with the spring, the upper support (the upper support remains on the car when removing the shock absorber strut assembly with the spring).
Installation
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
