Engine starting system
The F9Q engine is equipped with a Valeo D7 R44 starter.
Removing and installing the starter
Removal
1. Disconnect the battery. The battery is located under the left seat, so you need to remove the floor mat by detaching the clips that hold it in place, then remove the battery cover A by unscrewing the bolts (Fig. 3.117).
2. Remove the engine sump guard, disconnect the turbocharger air outlet pipe, front muffler, supports 1 and 2, then catalytic converter 3 (Fig. 3.120).
3. Disconnect the wiring from the starter, unscrew the bolts that secure it and remove it.
Installation
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Cooling system
Cooling system capacity: 6.4 l.
The cooling system diagram is shown in Fig. 3.121.
