Removal
1. Disconnect the battery. The battery is located under the left seat, so you need to remove the floor mat by detaching the clips that hold it in place, then remove the battery cover A by unscrewing the bolts (Fig. 3.117).

2. Remove the engine sump guard and left side guard, radiator air deflector, accessory drive belt and idler pulley.
3. Disconnect the wiring from the generator and the air conditioning compressor (if there is one).
4. Unscrew the generator mounting bolts and move it away from the engine using a screwdriver (Fig. 3.118).

5. Remove the generator.
Installation
6. To facilitate installation of the generator, clamp the bushings A (Fig. 3.119).
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
