Removal
1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
2. Disconnect the battery.
3. Remove the engine protection.
4. Disconnect wiring connector 3 from the air flow meter and air duct 4 from the turbocharger (Fig. 3.52). Unscrew the bolts 5 securing the air filter housing, then remove the air filter housing.
5. Unscrew the two nuts 6 securing the exhaust pipe and secure the pipe to the subframe (Fig. 3.59).

6. Remove supports 1 and 2 of the catalytic converter, unscrew nuts 3 of the catalytic converter and remove it (Fig. 3.60). Disconnect the vacuum tube 4 of the pneumatic actuator of the boost pressure limiting valve, the air supply and outlet pipes from the turbocharger.

7. Disconnect the pressure 5 and drain 6 oil lines from the turbocharger, unscrew the three nuts 7 and remove the turbocharger (Fig. 3.61).

Installation
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Tightening torques
- Turbocharger mounting stud nut - 24±1 Nm
- The oil supply line nipple on the turbocharger is 24±4 Nm.
- The oil supply line nipple on the engine is 26±0.2 Nm.
- Oil drain line nipple - 12±0.1 Nm.
- Nuts for the studs securing the catalytic converter to the turbocharger - 26±0.2 Nm.
